Drinking?

I feel that to some students drinking is a way to loosen up but on the other hand I believe that there are many students on campus who drink just to get drunk.
the statement "im going to get so trashed this weekend" or "i was so wasted last weekend" can usually be heard around campus pretty often.
I think that if the drinking age was lowered to 18, at first there would be some problems with people being drunk in public and things like that but i think that after a while it wouldnt be as fun for people who are considered underage. I feel that if you can vote for our president or go off to the army, navy, marines, ect. then you should also be able to drink. if the drinking age as lowered to 18 then teens who are 18-20 would find it less entertaining to drink or get drunk.
i think that the only problem with the safe-ride program is that the people driving the car would either a) not be compassionate to those who are intoxicated by being mean or rude to them. b) after a night of being a safe-driver the students would start telling peers of the drunken night that someone had.
